- The Union of Concerned Scientists' report on impacts of climate change in the Northeast gives the specifics on what to expect locally.
- The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is a scientific body whose job was to evaluate the global risks of climate change caused by human activity. They shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with Al Gore. This 20 page summary from their fourth 2007 report reflects 6 years of work by over 3000 scientists, as reviewed by representatives from 113 countries.
- RealClimate is a site run by scientists that offers real-time analysis of the latest climate science debates.
- How to Talk to a Climate Skeptic contains a long list of 'frequently asked questions' and answers.
- Wikipedia is good place to search for answers on a broad range of topics, from the general to the arcane.

- Project H.O.U.S.E. is a resource for reducing personal and home energy consumption. The home energy site from NYSERDA, the state government's energy authority, also offers the latest information on service providers and opportunities for state and federal funding for home updates.
- The Green Brighton Task Force site of the Town of Brighton has resources for reducing your carbon footprint. If you are interested in starting a similar initiative in your own community, the website of the Town of Brighton has background information on their initiative and contact information for representatives who can share their experience in setting it up.

- Rochester Green Living has on-line forums and monthly get-togethers of people interested in sustainability and green building.
- Climate Change Central, at 545 Park Avenue, is a community resource center and forum for climate change dialogue. In addition to an extensive library and staff on hand to answer questions, they sponsor free informational movie screenings, discussions, a book group, and more.
- Living in Harmony brings people of many faiths together in the Rochester area to respond actively to global warming. They are associated with New York Interfaith Power and Light which has branches across the state.
